The R.M. of Paddockwood No. 520 is seeking a detail-oriented and professional individual to fill the position of Financial/Administrative Assistant. This is a temporary term position to provide coverage for a maternity leave, commencing as soon as possible and continuing until the return of the incumbent. To ensure a seamless transition, the successful candidate will begin employment prior to the leave commencement for a designated training and knowledge transfer period. While this is currently a term position, the R.M. of Paddockwood values professional development and internal growth; future permanent opportunities may be available as organizational needs evolve, subject to the terms of the Collective Agreement.
Position Overview
Operating under the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the Administrative Assistant is essential to the daily financial and municipal operations of the R.M. This role requires a balance of technical accounting expertise and high-level administrative support.

Employment Opportunity: 1A Truck Driver / Heavy Equipment Operator Rural Municipality of Paddockwood No. 520
The RM of Paddockwood is currently seeking a disciplined and skilled professional for the position of 1A Truck Driver / Heavy Equipment Operator. This is a Seasonal Full-Time Permanent position, ideally suited for an individual who takes pride in maintaining municipal infrastructure and operating equipment with precision and care.
Core Responsibilities:
· Safe and efficient operation of various heavy municipal equipment (Graders, Loaders, Mowers, etc.).
· Hauling and spreading materials using Class 1A vehicles.
· Performing routine maintenance and pre-operational safety inspections on equipment.
· Assisting with road repairs, culvert installations, and general municipal maintenance as directed by the Foreman.
· Adhering strictly to RM safety policies and provincial transportation regulations.
Qualifications:
· Valid Class 1A Driver’s License with a clean abstract.
· Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, preferably in a municipal or construction setting.
· Technical knowledge of equipment maintenance and minor repair.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
· Strong communication skills and a professional approach to public interaction.
Position Details: This position is classified as seasonal full-time permanent, meaning the successful candidate will be recalled annually for the operating season. The RM offers a competitive wage and benefits package in accordance with the RM of Paddockwood Collective Bargaining Agreement.
