What are the transfer station hours?
Our landfill/transfer station hours are as follows: Paddockwood Landfill/Transfer Station – Saturdays 9:00 am to 4:00 pm .
Fees
There is no longer a fee for regular household garbage.
Garbage must be sorted into these categories: regular household garbage, large items/furniture, recyclable items, metal, electronics, untreated/unpainted wood.
There is $20.00 charge for furniture and any other items that need to be placed in the large dumpster, this is any item that is not regular household garbage. If there are multiple large items you will be charged for the additional items. The RM must pay a rental fee for the large dumpster and a substantial dumping fee for these items. If this becomes too cost prohibitive we will no longer be able to maintain the service and you will be required to take these items to the Prince Albert landfill and pay their required fees.
Large appliances that can go in the metal pile are subject to a fee of $15.00 per appliance.
Large loads may be subjected to additional fees depending on the size of the load.
Recycling
We now have a single stream recycling bin at the transfer station. Please review the Easy Guide to Recycling for items that can be recycled and how to prepare your items for recycling.
What items are not accepted at the transfer station?
We do not accept used oil, batteries, tires, shingles, large amounts of construction waste, fridges or freezers with the compressors still intact at the landfill. Most of these items can be taken to the Prince Albert landfill.
Where is the landfill/transfer station located?
Personal Dumpsters
Personal dumpsters are available to ratepayers of the RM of Paddockwood.
They are available in 3 or 6 yard bins or large 30 yard bins for construction waste. The pickup is once per month. We will invoice you for the initial bin delivery and the first months pickup. After this time we will be invoicing on a quarterly basis.
If you wish to have a bin in your yard we require the following information: land location, bin size and placement of bin.
Payments are due within thirty days, all overdue payments will be added to your tax roll and will be subject to 2% penalty per month Please contact the RM office for pricing and delivery. Late payment will result in removal of bins.
