District Official Community Plan & Zoning Bylaw

The RM of Paddockwood, in partnership with the member municipalities of the North Central Lakelands Planning District, is in the process of rewriting our District Official Community Plan and Zoning Bylaw. This Planning District includes: The Resort Village of Elk Ridge, The District of Lakeland, The Village of Christopher Lake, The RM of Paddockwood and the Resort Village of Candle Lake.

Throughout the process we will be conducting multiple public consultations which will include surveys and public meetings. We want to hear your input. Each municipality will hold separate meetings in order to ensure we are reaching everyone who would like to have input.

Consultation Continues for North Central Lakelands Planning District Official Community Plan Update

More than 100 people have joined some great land use conversations at 3 North Central Lakelands Planning District Cafés. These conversations are helping form future policy directions in an updated Official Community Plan. There is still time for you to get involved this summer.

Consultation Cafes Continue

· 2PM to 5PM, July 28th at the Lakeland Community BBQ (Lions Park, Spruce Point, Christopher Lake)

· 4PM to 6PM, July 29th at the Elk Ridge Community BBQ (Resort Ball Room)

Café conversations with the Planning Consultants are focused on new policies on Housing, Services, Recreation, Seasonal Residency and Short-Term Stays, and Sustainability. Other planning-related topics are also welcome.
