District Official Community Plan & Zoning Bylaw

 

Notice: Public Review Period for Draft District Official Community Plan and Zoning Bylaw


The Rural Municipality of Paddockwood No. 520 is pleased to announce that the new draft District Official Community Plan (DOCP) and Zoning Bylaw have officially received first reading from Council. Approximately five years in the making, these documents represent a critical milestone in our municipality’s history. They provide the strategic roadmap for our future growth, land usage, and development standards, ensuring that the RM remains a vibrant and sustainable community for years to come.


To ensure our residents have sufficient opportunity to engage with these vital updates, Council has established an extended two-month review period for these drafts. We strongly encourage all ratepayers to review the proposed documents and associated mapping to understand how these changes will shape our collective future. To facilitate a thorough comparison, the current (old) bylaws remain available for review on our Bylaws Page. We invite you to examine both the existing and proposed versions to see the changes being made.


Feedback and concerns may be submitted in writing to the RM office prior to the public hearing. Additionally, we invite all stakeholders to attend the formal Public Hearing:

  • Date: Wednesday, June 17th
  • Time: 1:00 PM
  • Location: RM of Paddockwood Building, #40 First Street North, Paddockwood, SK.


Your input is vital to ensuring these bylaws reflect the vision and needs of our residents as we plan for the next chapter of the RM of Paddockwood.
