The RM of Paddockwood, in partnership with the member municipalities of the North Central Lakelands Planning District, is in the process of rewriting our District Official Community Plan and Zoning Bylaw. This Planning District includes: The Resort Village of Elk Ridge, The District of Lakeland, The Village of Christopher Lake, The RM of Paddockwood and the Resort Village of Candle Lake.
Throughout the process we will be conducting multiple public consultations which will include surveys and public meetings. We want to hear your input. Each municipality will hold separate meetings in order to ensure we are reaching everyone who would like to have input.
Growth and change means it is time to create a new Official Community Plan.

This winter, a ‘Virtual Open House’ at www.wallaceinsights.com/NCLakelandsDOCPwas created to highlight trends in one of the fastest growing areas in Saskatchewan, the North Central Lakelands Planning District. So far, 928 people have visited this Open House, 213 have viewed the Introductory Video, and 120 completed the Phase One Survey.
The process to update the District Official Community Plan (DOCP) continues and the results of the Phase One Survey will soon be ready. These will be shared on the project’s Virtual Open House webpage.
Preparations for Phase Two engagement are now underway and in-person events are planned. Come learn more about planning and development in the North Central Lakelands Planning District and watch for further updates on the project’s Virtual Open House webpage.

The lot sizes are proposed to be changed in the zoning bylaw.
This change would allow for a discretionary use under Agricultural zoning to operate a wildlife rehabilitation centre.
This would allow for a 21 lot expansion to the Aspen Ridge Subdivision.
