  Public Notice is hereby given, that the Council of the Rural Municipality of Paddockwood No. 520 intends to adopt a bylaw under  The Planning and Development Act, 2007, to amend Bylaw No 01/2020 known as the Zoning Bylaw.

INTENT

The proposed bylaw is to provide legal access for NW 30-54-22-W2 parcel number 166069648.

AFFECTED LAND

The affected land is legally described as the West 20 m portion of Lot 1 Blk/Par 2 Plan 101930587 Ext 0, Parcel #164643306 (SW 31-54-22-W2)

REASON

The reason for the amendment is to provide legal access for NW 30-54-22-W2, parcel number 166069648.

PUBLIC INSPECTION

Any person may inspect the bylaw at the Rural Municipality Office, located at 40-1 St. North, in the Village of Paddockwood, between the hours of 8:30am -4:00pm Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays. Copies of the proposed bylaw are available at the Rural Municipal Office at a cost of $1.00.

 PUBLIC HEARING

Council will hold a public hearing on October 20th, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Rural Municipal Office to hear any person or group that wants to comment on the proposed bylaw. Council will also consider written comments received at the hearing, or delivered to the undersigned at the municipal office before the hearing.

RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF PADDOCKWOOD NO. 520

PUBLIC NOTICE

Public notice is hereby given that the Council of the Rural Municipality of Paddockwood No. 520 intends to adopt a bylaw under The Planning and Development Act, 2007 to amend Bylaw No. 01-2020, known as the Zoning Bylaw.

INTENT

The proposed bylaw amendment will:

  • Conditionally rezone lands legally described as Blk/Par B Plan 101604934 Ext 74, Parcel #202940063 from R – Resort District to C – Commercial District, subject to provisions within a Contract Zoning Agreement.

The proposed Contract Zoning Agreement will:

  • Restrict possible commercial uses to include only: Motor Vehicle Service Establishments or Marine, or Recreational Vehicle Equipment Service Establishments.
  • Restrict all business operations to only be conducted within a building.
  • Require all outside storage to be screened and located in the side or rear yard.

REASON

The reason for the amendment is:

  • To provide for and regulate the development of a Motor Vehicle Service Establishments or Marine, or Recreational Vehicle Equipment Service Establishments.
  • To minimize land use conflicts in proximity to the proposed use.
